Artist Statement & Resume

I am an all mixed media artist known for my Sculptures, Mosaic work, Glass fusing art pieces, Paintings, Drawings, Gell plate Prints, Digital Painting/Collage/Animation. and use of AI. Though out my 55 years as an Artist there is not one Theme because I create from my feelings that are aroused by the environment, political decisions, and current events.  Being an Artist is my identity.

During COVID I created a series dedicated to Loneliness. My series entitled Hija is dedicated to Them who struggle with Sexual identity. “Who Am I”, the series, is about my brother who suffered with brain cancer and lost his identity.

The April 2024 showcase at Gallery Los Olivos will feature Digital works printed on Felt. The Felt lends a soft landing to works created with Photography, Digital Collage, Digital Painting and with some AI influence.

NFTs, Giclee reproductions, and Memory Sticks for large format TV monitors allow my Artworks to be accessible to a larger audience.

Earning my BA degree in fine arts at UCLA (BA) and continuation my formal Art education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, regardless of the medium, I pay attention to the whole experience I want to convey with my composition, my knowledge of many media tools to achieve my vision.  My work is thought provoking, sometimes uncomfortable to the viewer.  Individual life experiences help to interpret what feeling are evoked, they are unpredictable and ever changing.

Selling my first painting at 18 years old, I have continued to be a working artist. A Senior (73 years old) from an ethnic background.  My working Studio is open to Gallery Owners and the Public, by appointment.
